Who’s up for a challenge? I challenge you to exercise every day this week! Time to chuck on your runners and get moving for at least 30 minutes a day!
Who has all the good feels after completing last week’s charity challenge? If you didn’t get a chance to complete it yet, there is still time! These challenges don’t expire, and you can participate at any time. If you are low on funds you can check out my 8 ways you can support charities without donating money for inspiration. It’s amazing how wonderful giving back can make you feel!
I started off the week cleaning out our pantry and removing all the non-perishable food we had that we weren’t getting through! I am notorious for buying things in bulk when they are on sale but in a two-person household it’s impossible to get through it all! So I bundled everything up and delivered it to our nearest Food Bank.
Next, I cleaned out our closets and was amazed to find Adam had bought doubles of the same shirt at least 5 times! Needless to say they were all bundled up and popped into a local donation bin.
Lastly, I threw my change from breakfast on Sunday into a donation tin for the charity Pay a Sack Forward. The organisation provides vital supplies to the homeless in Brisbane and Melbourne, and $5 buys one survival sack.
I felt grateful to have the opportunity to support these wonderful charities and those in need. This is one challenge I’m going to keep with me long after I’ve completed it. Did you take part in last week’s challenge? I’d love to here what you came up with!
This week’s challenge it is all about our fitness!:
WEEK 9 – EXERCISE EVERY DAY THIS WEEK
You may remember that one of the first challenges I ever posted was to exercise 4 times in a week. A lot of you smashed that challenge out easily so I thought I’d step this week’s challenge up a notch to EVERY DAY. Yep, 7 days, at least 30 minutes a day.
A few weeks back I wrote a post on what happened when I skipped the gym for a week. Well, due to some small, non-life threatening health troubles that week quickly turned into a month and I’m just now starting to get back into it. So I figured the challenge this week would be the perfect place to give me the extra motivation I need to get out of bed on these freezing 13C/55F Brisbane mornings (don’t laugh cold climate readers – I’m seriously shivering as I pen this post).
Never one to make these challenges easy for myself, I have the added hurdle this week of travelling to Singapore! This challenge will be completed on the road and again I’m using it as motivation to keep up with my health and fitness goals while I’m travelling.
We all have our favourite exercises so I’ll leave it to you to figure out what you’ll do each day, but let me challenge you to take it even one step further and try to incorporate a few different types of workouts this week. Always enjoy walking? Why not try a dance fitness video? Or a functional circuit? Try something new and see how you go! If you are still struggling for ideas, you can check out my list on this post for inspiration.
As always, I’ll be posting my participation in the challenge on Instagram if you want to follow along. And I’d love to see what you are up to too! Don’t forget to tag me in your photos and use the hashtags #beforeverhealthier #cassieschallenges.
And if you want some more information on the previous challenges, I’ve posted them below for easy access! As I mentioned earlier, you can participate at any time and be sure to stop back next week for the next challenge!
