A few months back I signed up to be part of Natural Instinct’s 6 week challenge and was lucky enough to be selected. The challenge, which is self-explanatory, encourages you to use a set of products for 6 weeks and track the changes of your skin. As part of the challenge, Natural Instinct send you a beautiful box filled with four full sized products.
The box includes their:
- Refreshing Foaming Cleanser
- Plump & Renew Serum
- Dark Circle + Wrinkle Correction Eye Crème
- Nourishing Facial Moisturiser
The first thing I noticed about the products is how gorgeous they smell. Every time I follow the routine (which is AM + PM), I feel like I’m having a facial. Here’s my breakdown of each product…
Refreshing Foaming Cleanser
The cleanser is a clear gel, and is refreshing and removes all unwanted dirt away. It has a thick consistency where you still feel it on your skin after washing. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just something to be mindful of when using so you don’t find yourself spending minutes vigorously trying to wash it off. The cleanser does not strip your skin or leave it with that dry feeling so many other cleaners on the market do. A great gentle cleanser for daily use.
- Kakadu Plum
- Goji Berry
- Gentle on skin
- Removes all make-up
- Maintains moisture
- Smells great
- Leaves residue feeling
Plump & Renew Serum
The product is intended to visibly improve wrinkles, hydration and correct skin tone. Testers have claimed to feel their skin plumping and pores reducing in size. I can feel a tightening in my skin each time I use this serum, so I think it’s definitely doing its job. I have large pores, and I have not noticed any reduction in size of my pores. That said, I have not had any issues with dry skin since using this product, and can definitely feel a long-lasting deep hydration after use.
- Saccharide Isomerate
- Echinacea Purpurea Extract
- Argan Oil
- Liquorice Extract
- Tightening effect
- Hydrates skin
Dark Circle + Wrinkle Correction Eye Crème
Full disclosure – dark circle and wrinkles around my eyes is not something I suffer from. I have never used an eye crème before, but given that the challenge was around following a complete daily routine I used the eye crème diligently. Did I notice any changes aside from additional hydration around my eyes? No. Did I need any changes? No. I’ve seen from a lot of the feedback on the product that women experiencing problems with these areas have found this product has made a major change, so I wouldn’t let my lack of bags discourage you.
- Saccharide Isomerate
- Coffee seed oil
- Aloe Vera
- Easy to use
- Hydrates skin
Nourishing Facial Moisturiser
My skin feels very supple and smooth after using and I can feel it hydrating for hours. One of its main ingredients, almond oil, is known to help dissolve the sebum that your skin produces cleaner skin and pores, and helping to get rid of acne. It also has a firming effect to help fight off the signs of ageing. I have felt a tightening of my skin overall using this product. The moisturiser is too thick for my liking, and as such, I would not buy again.
- Sweet Almond Oil
- Deep hydration
- Tightens skin
- Thick to apply
My skin is acne prone and I did not notice any significant reduction in my breakouts while using this product line. I do really need a product that is going to work well with my skin and calm it as much as possible, so because of this I wouldn’t necessarily continue to buy all the products in the range.
I enjoyed the daily routine and the products made my skin feel smooth and hydrated. There was a noticeable tightening of the skin from using the products, and considering they are 100% natural, that’s a pretty great feature. I would definitely use the cleanser again, and I would revisit the other products in the future, particularly for their anti-ageing benefits.
Natural Instinct products are affordable and in some cases, cheaper than their chemical-laden alternatives, so if you suffer from dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles, darkness around your eyes or uneven skin tone I’d encourage you to give the range a try. Natural Instinct products are available online or you can find your nearest stockist here.
Disclaimer – I was selected to participate in the Natural Instinct 6 week challenge and sent the products in this post for free, however, I was not requested to nor incentivised to write this post. All opinions are 100% my own, and my only goal is to share my product experience with others who are looking to try.
